Pendant «Fish».

The fish is one of the most ancient Christian symbols. It was in the form of a fish that the first Christians depicted Jesus Christ Himself. «Fish» in Greek is «ichthys», and at the same time ICHTHYS is an acronym of the name of Jesus Christ, consisting of the initial letters of the words naming the Lord and revealing His purpose in the world: Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior. The New Testament also links the symbol of the fish with the preaching of the apostles, the disciples of Christ, many of whom were fishermen. The Lord told them that from «fishers of fish» they would become «fishers of men». Setting out in their boats onto the stormy sea of life, they would with their preaching, as with a net, draw perishing people out of its dark waves. Christian beads with ornaments and prayers can be gathered into a rosary, worn on a bracelet or necklace, as an interchangeable artistic element of other jewelry.
