Bead «Gold Embroidery».

By the pattern of its traditional ornament this bead refers us to royal brocade and silk garments. Brocade, or altabas, is a dense silk fabric with an ornament of gold drawn or silver drawn thread. The tradition of wearing garments made of silk embroidered fabrics by high-ranking persons and clergy came to us from Byzantium: from the East too the precious fabric was brought to Rus until the 17th century.
