Bead «Wave».

The precious bead is covered with an ornament in which the image of a wave is rhythmically repeated – so that the space of the bead is completely filled with «water». Since ancient times the image of water has had special symbolic meaning in all cultures, including the Christian one. Water is a symbol of purification and renewal. Receiving holy baptism, we are immersed in water three times, like Jesus Christ; we drink holy water, which is venerated for its special grace-filled properties. Water has always been considered a source of life and immortality, which is reflected even in Russian fairy tales, where «living water» often appears.
