Prayers before the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God are believed to help heal all kinds of illnesses, especially eye diseases and even blindness - both physical and spiritual. The image of the Mother of God and prayers to Her help in finding the right solution to difficult matters. For centuries, people have placed the "Kazan" icon by a child's crib, believing that the Mother of God will watch over and protect the child whenever needed. Since ancient times, the Kazan icon has also been used to bless newlyweds with a long and happy life together. And if a wedding falls on the feast day of this icon, the couple's family life is believed to be long and happy. On the reverse of the pendant is written: "Preserve Your servants from all misfortunes, blessed Mother of God!"
