A pendant with the image of an Angel and a prayer is a Christian symbol that is both a beautiful ornament and spiritual protection. The Angel of God is a messenger of Christ and a protector of the person, who constantly accompanies them throughout life after baptism. The Church obliges us to honor and thank our Guardian Angel in daily prayers at home, and to turn to him for patronage and protection as to our closest spiritual guide. One such prayer is written on the pendant: "Angel of Christ, my holy guardian, pray to God for me." The pendant is made in the technique of stained-glass enamel - one of the most complex and refined techniques of artistic enameling. It differs from ordinary cloisonné enamel by the absence of a backing, which gives it transparency and the ability to let light through, mysteriously refracting it.
