This pendant is dedicated to the holy spouses Peter and Fevronia, patrons of family and marriage. Their feast day is marked by the celebration of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity (July 8). The holy right-believing spouses Peter and Fevronia ruled in the city of Murom in the early 13th century. The couple lived long and happily in love with God, with people, and with each other. There are no monastic or martyric feats in their life story. Yet the Church glorified them as saints, because it is very difficult to preserve the purity of marriage, love for God, and faithfulness to one's vows throughout one's whole life - through persecution, poverty, illness, and the temptations of wealth and power - and to be a perfect example of Christian marriage.
