The pendant, made in the shape of a shield, depicts the Guardian Angel. In his hands he holds the traditional symbolic attributes: a cross - a sign of obedience to Christ and adherence to His commandments - and a sword, a symbol of the relentless struggle he wages against demons, fending off their attacks on people. Every person has their own Guardian Angel, given to them by God at Baptism, who always remains invisibly by their side. The Guardian Angel's ministry is not only to protect a person, but also to help bring about the salvation of their soul for eternal life. That is why the Angel spiritually guides a person in faith and piety and prays for them to God. At the end of earthly life, it is the Guardian Angel who leads the soul of the departed into Eternity. On the reverse of the pendant is depicted a sword, which since biblical times has been a symbol of spiritual struggle.
