An elegant openwork pendant, richly adorned with stones, is dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "Seven Arrows" and the very similar icon "Softener of Evil Hearts." The seven swords (arrows) that pierced the heart of the Most Holy Theotokos symbolize the sufferings She endured. People pray before this icon for the reconciliation of enemies, for the softening of hearts filled with malice and anger, for peace and harmony among people, and, of course, for peace and love in one's own heart. The image of the Mother of God is set within an ornamental lily flower - a symbol of purity, innocence, and holiness. On the reverse are the opening lines of the prayer to the Mother of God: "Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos, Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, for thou hast borne the Savior of our souls."
