A small cross bearing the Crucifixion on the front, and an Angel with the infant John the Forerunner on the reverse, made in the tradition of Russian baptismal crosses.

The front bears the Crucifixion, following tradition.

Crosses of various forms are venerated in the Orthodox Church. Two of them are used in this cross: the four-pointed and the seven-pointed.

The reverse of the cross depicts the Angel of the Lord and John the Forerunner, Baptist of the Lord, shown as an infant. John was the last of the prophets.

A Guardian Angel is given at Baptism to every person and leads them from childhood along the path of righteousness. If one learns to listen to one's Angel and to follow the voice of conscience, anyone may attain the heights of sanctity, as did John the Forerunner, Baptist of the Lord.
